Adaptive Sports Day Carnival
Hits : 962

Hello All:

Al Oerter is hosting an Adaptive Sports Day Carnival on December 1st, 2011.  We are offering an opportunity for students to experience adaptive sports carnival style.

An adaptive sport brings out the spirit of all who participate.  With that in mind we are looking to make it a fun and exciting day by providing adaptive sports through a carnival style setup.  Instead of making students learn instructions, students will be able to try and participate the best way they know how.  Stations will be set up for a basketball shot, football toss, softball throw, putt golf, bowling, and indoor wheelchair soccer shot.  The goal of these stations and sports is to provide the students an opportunity to try certain sports to see how appealing these sports are to them.  Each student will be given a goody bag at the conclusion of the carnival and tickets will be awarded for those students who do well at each station.  There will be one general prize given to the student with the most tickets at the end of the carnival.

The goal is to get students involved in as many sports as possible with the hope of them inquiring about how to get involved on their own free time.

Please let us know if you plan to attend! We have plenty of room for your class!!

Thanks,
