Row New York is a non-profit youth sports organization created to empower the girls of New York City public schools through a highly structured competitive rowing and academic program. We have been partnering with NYC public schools and the greater NYC community for over seven years. For the past few years, we have partnered with NYU’s IWD program to provide adaptive rowing on and on off the water to young women with a variety of disabilities. Recently, we have received funding to expand our adaptive rowing efforts to a wider audience, and we would love to involve your organization. It’s a fantastic way to provide a change of pace to your group’s summer experience! In addition, the sport of adaptive rowing made its Paralympic debut at the Beijing Games in 2008—and so the possibilities are limitless. Services are free! Sessions take place at the boathouse at Meadow Lake in Flushing Meadows Corona Park between the hours of 10:30am and 12:30pm. Available/Remaining dates: 7/1, 7/6, 7/7, 7/8. Reservations may be made for 1,2, or 3 days. If you are interested in scheduling a camp experience for your group, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss details. Thanks so much for your time! Sincerely, Previn Chandraratna Director of Programs/ Head Coach, Row New York
