CITI TO HOST SLED HOCKEY DEMONSTRATION AND CLINIC WITH INSPIRATIONAL ATHLETES FROM THE WHEELCHAIR SPORTS FEDERATION AT CITI POND IN BRYANT PARK ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 28 AT 9:00 AM

New York, NY – Citi and the Wheelchair Sports Federation (WSF) are teaming up for a sled hockey demonstration and clinic open to the general public this Saturday, January 28, at Citi Pond at Bryant Part at 9:00 AM. The WSF is a national non-profit that provides opportunities for people with physical disabilities to compete in adaptive sports recreationally and competitively. WSF athletes consist of Paralympians, members of the Wounded Warriors, and others with disabilities who realize they can lead a better life through participation in sports.

WSF provides programs for children and adults with physical disabilities, which help them build self-esteem, integrate into society, become part of the workforce and most importantly, maintain physical and mental health.

Sled Hockey (which follows the same rules as ice hockey) is a fast-moving and exciting Winter Paralympic sport which will also be open to able participants at this event.

This demonstration and clinic at Citi Pond at Bryant Park will highlight Paralympic sports and provides Citi with the opportunity to showcase their community initiatives in the heart of New York City by partnering with WSF to provide unique and meaningful opportunities to their members.
